No show, no blogs… yet! Come back to CAR Online after 22 July 2008 for the best insight from CAR’s award-winning editorial team. We’ll be prowling the show stands to dig out the stories that matter – and providing the context to make sense of the news and announcements at the Excel centre in London’s Docklands.
The Infiniti Emerg-e range-extender supercar will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this month and tackle the hillclimb. We’re still not sure that Infiniti really know where they’re heading in the UK and Europe, but perhaps recent changes at Infiniti PR will help make things clearer? But one thing Infiniti are doing that makes real sense is the Infiniti Emerg-e range extender supercar we saw at Geneva in the Spring as a potential range-topper for the Infiniti range.
Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition - more horses
Vauxhall has decided it’s time to turn up the wick on the Corsa VXR, so they’ve had a fiddle and a tweak and managed to coax 202bhp out of its 1.6-litre 4-pot turbo. That’s an extra 13bhp. It’s not just the power that’s been increased, so has the twist; the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition gets an extra 11lb/ft of torque to take it up to 207lb/ft.
